Ian Levesque Joins BBL Construction as Its Multi-Residential Division Gains Momentum
Gatineau, October 29, 2026 – Building on several major achievements, BBL Construction is pleased to welcome Ian Levesque, Professional Architectural Technologist, as Construction Director for its multiresidential division. With more than 30 years of experience in the residential construction industry, Ian joins the team led by Benoit Chrétien, Vice-President of the Multiresidential Division, to support the continued growth of this strategic business unit.
Ian brings over 30 years of experience in the construction industry, including the past 24 years with Habitations Bouladier, where he developed extensive expertise in residential development and construction. Throughout his career, he has contributed to the construction of more than 3,000 residential units and several residential land development projects, building recognized expertise in wood-frame construction, civil engineering, and large-scale project management.
More recently, he was involved in the construction of a six-storey concrete residential building. This diverse experience has given him an in-depth understanding of the technical, operational, and financial challenges involved in delivering major residential projects.
Ian's arrival further strengthens BBL Construction's expertise and its ability to successfully deliver increasingly ambitious multiresidential projects.
A Multi-Residential Division Building on Its Momentum
Despite the challenges facing the construction industry, BBL has continued to move forward by diversifying its expertise and adapting to emerging trends in the multi-residential sector.
Among its notable achievements is Carrefour Cité, a 19-storey tower featuring upscale rental apartments and commercial spaces.
More recently, in 2026, BBL completed two social and affordable housing projects using modular construction: Mon Chez-Nous – Magnus, featuring 47 social housing units, and 40 Boulevard de la Technologie, a 40-unit affordable housing development.
These projects demonstrate BBL's ability to respond to a wide range of market needs, particularly in affordable housing, which remains a key priority for the City of Gatineau.
