Position Overview
As an Assistant Estimator, you support the Estimation team in preparing bids and analyzing projects. Your role is essential in ensuring accurate quantity takeoffs, reliable cost data, and competitive proposals. Working closely with estimators, project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors, you actively contribute to building well-planned, well-estimated projects.

A snapshot of your main responsibilities:
- Analyze plans, specifications, and tender documents.
- Perform quantity takeoffs for materials, labour, and equipment.
- Prepare price requests for suppliers and subcontractors.
- Compile, compare, and analyze received bids.
- Assist in preparing budgets and tender documents.
- Maintain and update cost and supplier databases.
- Conduct clear and professional follow-ups by phone and email with the various stakeholders.
You are a great fit if:
- You hold a DEC or equivalent education in a construction-related field.
- You have 2 to 5 years of experience in estimation or construction.
- You are comfortable reading plans and specifications.
- You are proficient with Bluebeam, Excel, and Microsoft Office.
- You are detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working under tight deadlines.
