Your day-to-day
You help execute carpentry and framing work on our jobsites. You read plans, prepare materials, erect structures, and deliver clean finishes—meeting quality standards, schedules, and all health-and-safety requirements.
Key responsibilities include:
- Preparing, laying out, cutting, and assembling materials (wood, composites, light-gauge steel)
- Erecting frames, partitions, and light formwork; installing doors, frames, and hardware
- Verifying alignment, plumb, and square; meeting tolerances
- Safely using and maintaining tools (hand, power, and measuring instruments)
- Rigorously applying OHS rules (CNESST) and BBL methods; keeping a clean site (5S)
- Flagging non-conformities and suggesting corrective actions
- Mentoring apprentices and labourers when needed
What we’re looking for:
- DEP in Carpentry-Joinery (or equivalent)
- Valid CCQ competency cards (journeyperson or apprentice) and ASP Construction safety card
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in commercial and/or multi-residential work
- Assets: light-gauge steel/drywall, light formwork, commercial doors and hardware
- Rigour, autonomy, strong sense of organization and safety
- Team player with clear communication and reliability
